After Trey left I didn’t know what to do with myself. He was drunk and probably behind the wheel of a vehicle. What if he got into an accident and hurt himself or someone else? I wouldn’t be able to forgive myself for that because I knew I was the reason he was running out of here like that. Picking up my iPhone I unlocked it before finding Alicia’s number. Hearing the phone ring I was hoping she would pick up but I had no such luck. Instead I was greeted by her voicemail. Letting out a frustrated sigh I waited until I heard the beep before speaking up. “Hey, Licia. This is an emergency. I need you to call me as soon as you get this. Bye.” Ending the call I made my way to his bedroom and took a seat on the edge of the bed. Unlocking my phone once more I scrolled through my contacts before finding Trey’s name. I needed to know if he was alright. Calling him I placed the phone to my ear. The phone rang several times before going to voicemail. ‘What the fuck? Is tonight don’t answer Renee night?’ The female thought. “Trey it’s late and I’m worried. Could you call me back so I know you’re at least safe?” You could hear the worry in my voice. Hanging up I let out a sigh. I know Trey probably wasn’t going to call me back. Who could blame him? I did reject him and I’m sure he wasn’t use to it. He probably hadn’t experienced anything like that in a while.
Standing up I removed my clothes until I was only in my bra and underwear. Folding the clothes I placed them in the spot I sat in a few seconds ago. I set an alarm on my phone before placing it on the dresser. Getting under the covers I got comfortable trying to fall asleep but it was useless. I was a mix of emotions right now which kept causing me to toss and turn. I was worried but I was also pissed that Trey was being reckless and stupid. Why couldn’t he have stayed behind and we could have talked it out like two adults? Lying there I was trying to process what had happened. It was obvious Trey had too much liquor in system and that might have been guiding his actions. He had kissed me and it felt good but then he asked me to stay the night. That implied sex and I wasn’t going to get down like that. Trey needed to know I wasn’t one of these little groupie girls he could touch and I’d succumb and give in to him. Did Trey forget about his girlfriend because I didn’t? I didn’t need anyone coming after me ready to fight over a man. That wasn’t my style. Besides I didn’t condone cheating. I’ve been cheated on in the past and I would never want to inflict that pain on anyone else.
After what felt like forever I had finally drifted off to sleep. Unfortunately, it didn’t last long enough. Hearing my phone right I stirred in the bed before sticking one arm from underneath the covers and retrieving my phone from the dresser. Looking at the phone I figured it was my alarm but instead a picture of Alicia was displayed on the screen. Swiping send I immediately heard my best friend’s voice filled with panic.
“Oh my gosh! I feel horrible. I just turned on my phone and got your message. Are you okay? What happened?”
“I’m fine. I need you to come and pick me up. I’m at Trey’s hotel.” I could hear Alicia screaming in the background.
““You little whore. I want details.” Alicia said as I shook my head.
“It’s not even like that. Just come and get me so I can get my ass to work.” I told Alicia the address before hanging up.
Sitting up I slowly got out the bed. A shiver ran through my body as the cold air hit my practically naked body. Entering the bathroom I washed my face before looking around for an extra toothbrush. Finding one in the medicine cabinet I smiled. Brushing my teeth didn’t take too long. Once I was done I exited the bathroom and put on my clothes. Walking around Trey’s penthouse I gathered my things. Doing a double check I made sure I had everything before exiting his apartment. The elevator seemed like it took forever before it got to the lobby. Exiting the building I saw the doorman from last night who looked a bit surprised. I’m sure he had saw Trey when he left so he probably figured I wasn’t around. “Good morning. Can you send someone up to lock his door? It’s unlocked.” The man nodded and I walked to the curb as I saw Alicia’s Mercedes pull up. ‘Finally’. Getting in the car I buckled my seat belt and waited for Alicia to pull off. When he didn’t move I looked over to her. “Spill.” she said. Letting out a sigh I looked at her. “Fine I’ll spill but you need to drive. I gotta get to the tailor and get home and get ready for work.” Alicia was satisfied with my answer because she pulled off. I told her everything from Trey bringing me back to his place, to me freaking out about the kiss.
“What? Why did you freak out? Did you not know it was Trey Songz. Every women in America wants to get with him including me. You lucky bitch.” Alicia said with a smile letting me know the last part of her statement was a joke.
“I get that he has groupie hoes that will drop they panties real quick but I’m not one of them. I refuse to do what Jordan did to me to anyone else.” My tone was a bit stern.
“I understand babygirl. You did the right thing because if shorty came after you I’d have to murder her ass after you beat her ass.” Alicia said.
We both started laughing because we knew it was true. I wasn’t a fighter but I knew how to help myself. Alicia on the other hand use to fight all the time when we were younger and it had gotten her ass in trouble before. But all that was behind her since she had become a lawyer. “At least your lawyer friends will be able to represent you in court.” I said as Licia pulled up to the tailor. “Shut up” She said as we laughed some more. Just a minute ago I was upset and now I was all smiles because of my best friend. I got out the car and ran into the tailors shop. A minute later I was walking out with Trey’s messed up outfit from yesterday in my hand. Entering the car Alicia pulled off again. The car was silent but it wasn’t awkward. Fifteen minutes later she pulled up to my building.
“Do you need a ride to work? I can wait for you.” I shook my head.
“I don’t want to make you late.” I said.
“Okay. Let’s hang out this weekend. Best friend time.” Alicia said with a huge smile.
“You got it.” I returned her smile. Licia nodded and drove.
Entering the building I greeted familiar faces as I walked through the lobby. Seeing the elevator doors open I stepped in and pressed the number four. Stopping on my floor I exited the elevator. Going through my bag I found my key. Wasting no time I opened up the door. Looking at the time it was now 7:00. I needed to be out of here by 7:45 the latest. I placed my bag down and walked to my master bathroom. Taking off my clothes I wasted no time hoping in the shower. Twenty minutes later I emerged from the bathroom with a towel wrapped around me. Stopping in front of my draw I pulled out a random bra and a pair of panties. Dropping my towel I slipped on my bra and panties before putting on deodorant and lotion. I headed straight to the closet and began finding clothes to wear. Grabbing a pair of corduroy skinnies I looked around and grabbed a simple gray shirt. This would have to do. I didn’t have a lot of time to waste. Slipping on my jeans I quickly put on the shirt. Looking at my reflection I nodded. I looked good. Walking over to my shoes I grabbed a pair of Booties. They could definitely work. Exiting the closet I walked over to my sock draw and pulled out a pair of socks and put them on my feet. I slid my feet into my booties and went to work on my hair. Grabbing a comb I ran it through my bangs a few times. My hair was wavy so no much needed to be done to it. Glancing at the clock I read the time. It was 7:30. I had fifteen more minutes before I needed to be out of here.
Exiting my bedroom I grabbed my purse making sure all my necessities such as my keys, wallet, and phone were in there along with other necessities. Grabbing Trey’s garment bag and my coat I exited my apartment. Making sure the door was locked I caught the elevator and went down the parking garage. Unlocking my car I placed the garment bag in the passenger seat and got behind the driver’s seat. Starting my car I drove up to the parking gate. It slowly rose and once it did I was off to work. A good twenty minutes later I pulled into the parking lot and found a spot for my car. Getting out the car with garment bags in hand I headed into the building. Passing co-workers I greeted them. Walking past a room I saw Trey being made up. He had a radio interview with Angela Yee but I needed to talk to him and I was going to do it now. Spotting Michael I smiled.
“Good Morning Michael. Trey needs an outfit change.”
“What? He looks fine. Besides it’s a radio interview.”
“A radio interview that will be streamed online and you can’t forget pictures will be taken to go on Angela’s website.” I said matter-of-factly.
“Well, what are you waiting for? Go get him changed.”
Turning around I smiled as I went to find an outfit. We had plenty of them lying around. Walking over to a rack I placed the garment bag I was still carrying on it and then began looking for something for Trey to wear. Finally finding something I dubbed good I removed the bag and walked into the room everyone was in. “Morning everyone. I’ve been assigned to get Trey dressed.” Everyone left and I just looked at Trey who sprawled out on the couch in the room. Storming over to him I just glared at him. “Where the fuck were you? I was worried out my ass about you. The least you could have done was call me back and let me know you were safe. I couldn’t sleep last night because I was worried about you being drunk and out on the street. I was afraid you’d get in an accident or cause one but obviously you were taken care of.” You could hear the attitude in my voice. I knew we hadn’t ended last night on the greatest terms but he could have at least called me back.
He had a smirk on his face before he scoffed. “Don’t worry about me Renee. I’m a grown man. I’m good.”
I stood there looking at him in disbelief. Had he really just said that? I was worried ad he wanted to be a dick. “Whatever. Go change.” I said as I shoved the clothes into his hand. Watching him walk off into bathroom I plopped down on the couch. ‘Why does he want to make things difficult?’ I thought. A few minutes later he exited the bathroom in the clothes. Getting up I did began playing with buttons on his sweater. Walking out the room I went and found a scarf and a watch. Entering the room I walked over to Trey and placed it on his wrist before adjusting the scarf around his neck. He looked fine except for the glasses he had on his face. They were clashing with my vision. Reaching up I took them off his face before examining it. The makeup did a good job but I could tell he was fucked from last night’s drinking. I handed him his glasses. “You’re free to go.” With a roll of my eyes I plopped my ass down and gave my attention to my iPhone. Maybe I could worry about it instead of Trey. Yeah, I hate to admit it but his words hurt.
“What’s up Mikey?”
“Get your ass outta bed. You have a radio interview with Angela Yee. I expect to see you in an hour.” With that being said the phone call ended. I let out a groan and instinctively wrapped my arms around Sloane’s slender waist. Letting out a small sigh I watched her sleep peacefully. This is exactly why we were dysfunctional. We fight and break up and then we end up in one another’s bed. I know Sloane was probably thinking we were back together but I don’t know if that’s what I wanted or needed right now. Maybe it was best for us to part ways for now. Perhaps in the future we could end up together but it was obvious we needed to sort shit out before we tried to be with each other again. She needed to work on her jealousy and I needed to work on my temper because it wasn’t helping our relationship out. Removing my hands from Sloane’s body I got up and headed to her bathroom. I wasted no time brushing my teeth and taking a quick shower. I made sure to take some Advil because I wasn’t trying to deal with this hangover on a few hours of sleep.
Walking over to Sloane’s closet I raided it for clothes. I use to leave clothes here all the time before things got rocky between us. I pulled out a white t-shirt and some jeans. It was a radio interview so it wasn’t a big deal. Walking over to dresser I removed my phone and stuffed it into my pocket. “Don’t hate me after this.” I said as I placed a kiss on Sloane’s head. Exiting her room I grabbed my leather jacket, put on my sneakers and left. I’m sure Michael didn’t want to hear anything else about Sloane especially since yesterday’s disappearing act. The sun shining was irritating particularly since the Advil hadn’t kicked in yet. Looking through my glove compartment I pulled out some sunglasses and threw them on as I drove off.
It didn’t take to long for me to get where I needed to be. Parking my Range Rover I got out and went straight into the building. Seeing familiar faces I gave a few ‘what up’s’ and head nods. Seeing Michael I nodded as I entered a room with a few members of the team. Taking off my glasses I looked around as everyone conversed with one another. I felt so out of it. It was probably a mixture of last nights liquor and the events that had happened within the last twenty four hours. I greeted everyone. Just as I got ready to sit down and relax one of the makeup artist called my name. “Trey sit down here and let me fix your eyes. Last night must have been a sleepless night?” I looked at her and nodded. “You know me always working.” I said with a shrug of shoulders. She smiled at me before dabbing under my eyes a few times. “Thanks Tamika.” I said as I headed to the couch and sprawled out on the couch. ‘Today is going to be a long day.’ I thought as I just laid there.
“Morning everyone. I’ve been assigned to get Trey dressed.”
I had been content laying there until I heard a female voice. ‘Fuck!’ Renee was here. ‘Do I really look that bad that Michael sent her in here to change me?’ I thought. I put my glasses back on my face. I wasn’t really ready to face her. Last night she turned me down and I was upset about it. First, she assumed I had a girlfriend. Technically Sloane and I had ended things so I was single. Secondly, no one said anything about sex. Renee was fine. She was more than fine and if she’d let me I’d dive in but if she ain’t wanna do anything I wasn’t gonna take that shit from her. Her going off was completely unnecessary. I let out a sigh. Thinking ‘bout this was now getting me heated all over again. As soon as I sat up she stormed over to me and began nagging. I looked at her with raised eyebrows. ‘It’s too early for this shit.’ It was probably 8 in the morning. I did not need her nagging. I listened to her and scoffed. I wanted to say something else but I knew if I did we’d probably end up arguing. “Don’t worry about me Renee. I’m a grown man. I’m good.”
I read her expression just like she read mines. I could tell she was upset because she shoved the clothes at me. Going into the bathroom I changed. The quicker I changed the quicker I could get out of Renee’s presence. Exiting the bathroom I placed my old clothes on a chair as I stood in front of Renee and watched her do her thing. I checked her out and she looked good as always. She seemed content with my look after she finishing accessorizing me and what not. Then she took off my glasses and I was ready to snap. Why? Too many things were racking my brain. The interview, my new song, Sloane, Renee, too much was on my plate. I was just frustrated. She dismissed me and without another word I exited the room nearly colliding into Michael.
“Let’s go. We gotta get to Angela.” I nodded and we were off. It didn’t take too long to get to the radio station. It was probably a five minute drive from where we were now. Angela Yee was definitely one of my favorite people to get interviewed by. She was a pretty woman, and her personality just added to that. She wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, talk about sex, and had an amazing sense of humor. She wasn’t like most of the other radio personalities. She somewhat cared, and she wasn’t lame. This is why as soon as I saw Angela, I picked her up into a bear hug. “Sup baby” I asked. Angela squealed before hugging me back. “Trey! You made it.” I gave her a smile as I let her out my grasp and we went inside the studio. Sitting down next to Angela I placed my headphones on and watched her do her morning announcements before we got started.
“It’s the Morning After and I’m Angela Yee. I’m here with the one and only Trey Songz.”
“Yuppp!” I said with a small smile.
“So over the last few days I’ve gotten some questions that the fans wanted me to ask you. You ready Trey?”
“ Let’s do it baby.”
“So the ladies have been wanting to know do you have a big dick?” Angela asked with raised eyebrows. I laughed before giving her a smile.
“What you consider big baby? I’m very confident.” I watched Angela laugh and shake her head.
“You’re something else Trey. How long can you last during sex?”
“You mean straight through or with intervals?” I asked.
“Straight through.” Angela said clarifying.
“Umm…like two and a half hours.”
“Tell me about your worst sexual experience.” Looking at Angela I thought for a second before chuckling at the question.
“I had this one girl a while back. About twenty minutes in I’m hitting it from the back and then she just started squirting everywhere.” Everyone began laughing.
“You don’t like when girls squirt? Angela asked in between laughs.
“I mean when it was happening I was like I’m the motherfuckin’ man but afterwards that shit was wack. I couldn’t sleep in my bed.” More hysterical laughter was heard throughout the studio. After about ten more minutes of bashing me with sex questions, Angela laid a heavy one on me.
"We were talking about your girlfriend situation last time I saw you. You were saying you were traveling a lot and she understood that you were on the road and you were gonna do certain things. That was like your heart at home. Is that still current?” I took a sip of my bottled water before answering Angela.
“You get to a point in a relationship where things are so torn that it’s best to let it be. I love her. I mean real talk I love her but that’s not what best for me and it’s not what’s best for her either.” I said with a slight shrug of my shoulders. I just hoped Sloane wasn’t out there listening to this and going on a rampage. Angela nodded her head as if she respected my answer.
I talked to a few fans and was asked a few more sexual questions before Angela had let me go. “This was the Morning After with the very sexual Trey Songz. I got one last question. Can we expect a new song from you soon?”
"I was actually at home working on a new song, so it shouldn’t be that long babe."
It was finally a wrap. We were off the air. I gave Angela a hug and sat down conversing with her. It was obvious my mood had done a complete 180 since this morning. Hearing my phone ring I took it out and looked at my screen. ‘Shit.’ Did I really wanna talk to her, right now?
